This is a tree gecko, akin to the house gecko (who happened to be in the house)
We have many geckos living in the house with us here in Maui. It cannot be helped, they are just a fact of life here on a tropical island. They are all kinds of funny, they make noises like a cross between a chirp and a kiss. They occasionally lose their grip, especially in the shower, where you may suddenly have one land on your back or in your hair. Aside from the little presents they leave on the floor or furniture, I think they are really cute, and they can stay.
Besides, they eat their weight in bugs, which we are in no short supply of. |
